Add a Second Road

Each time you left click in the Draw Road window, a new dot is added to the existing road. To create a second road, do one of the following:

1. Select the menu item Road and Intersections - Add New Road
2. Type the letter R or r

You will see no visible change but the next time you left click in the Draw Road window, a road dot will appear unconnected to the existing road. A second click will show a straight road. You can continue to add road dots and move them as you did for the first road.

You can add up to 10 roads. These will render fine as long at they do not overlap or cross one another. If you want two roads to intersect, you need to follow the instructions on the next page.

Below is an example of multiple roads that will render without problem. None of the roads overlap or cross one another. The first image shows the design in Road Maker while the second image shows the roads rendered in Bryce.

Below is an example of multiple roads that will not render well. At point A, the cut and fill of one road cuts into the roadbed of the other road. At point B, the roads overlap but no intersection has been defined.

When you have multiple roads, whichever road you last selected by clicking on or moving a road dot becomes the active road. Addition of dots will occur at the end of the active road.
